Jennifer is Fleshing Out Her Forest

Jennifer has been staying very late at the gallery every evening cutting bottles and working out problems while creating the lushness her piece needs to create a unique experience for the viewer.  She is also planning her symbolic or allegorical portions of the piece.  Thus far two nests have been added, a portion of a snake, and a bench.  More will be added to the experience as she cleans, cuts, hole punches, paints, strings, and hangs more bottles!  Support the fundraiser by voting for her process at http://prairieart.org/InstallationWars.asp.

Adam Reaches New Heights

Adam Perschbacher has been in the gallery almost every night making a piece of epic proportions.  It's traveling around the walls and soon through the door and onto the ceilings.  There are also eyes on it.  He is really running with the project!  If you are impressed, please vote for him at http://prairieart.org/InstallationWars.asp.

Jennifer's Tree Grows to a Forest

Jennifer Snopko has started building the base to her water bottle installation... but instead of one tree it is growing into an enveloping forest.  She has a lot of embellishing to go!  Vote for Jennifer's vision here: http://www.prairieart.org/InstallationWars.asp

Felicia Glows with White

Felicia Olin came in this weekend (though she and her husband Jim were both very sick with the flu) to test part of her installation that will hang from the wall.  It is beautiful, moving, and ethereal!  We cannot wait to see how it all comes together...  Vote for Felicia Here: http://www.prairieart.org/InstallationWars.asp

Dennis Places his Box of Bands

Dennis Morris came into the gallery and slapped down a very large box of rubber bands, complete with plastic newspaper bags and old keys.  He has rubber band chains started and fishing wire going the length of the window.... we're excited to see where this is headed, especially with that beautiful color scheme.  Vote for Dennis here: http://www.prairieart.org/InstallationWars.asp

Adam Always Begins with Tape, but Now He'll be Ending with It

Adam Perschbacher has started his installation by carefully placing lines of tape emanating from a cubby in the gallery's west wall. The public can vote for Adam here: http://www.prairieart.org/InstallationWars.asp

Jed Begins His Installation - Sick as a Dog

Jed Leber had the flu this last Saturday but it didn't calm his excitement to get everything up and out!  He has begun by constructing the frame of his piece, playing with lights, and loosely adding a painted plastic cover. Vote for Jed here: http://www.prairieart.org/InstallationWars.asp
